DeathPenaltyFail: A Conservative Concern

Pat Monks, a proud Texan Republican, meets a number of conservatives who have first-hand experience of the death penalty process. Pat meets Ron Briggs, who was involved in bringing back the Death Penalty in California in 1977; Mimi Kelle, whose brother was brutally murdered in Nebraska; Governor Mark White who signed off on the executions of 19 men; and also Alfred ‘Dewayne’ Brown, the latest innocent man to be exonerated in Texas.

Unlike liberal arguments that we’re more used to hearing on this issue, we re-examine the facts. Whether it be the cost implications, the lack of closure it delivers to victims’ families, or the inaccuracy of the system – their testimony is explosive and unwavering.
